Meet Megan

Hi, I’m Megan, the maker, designer, and creative mind behind HandmadeByMeganR.

I’ve always been a crafty person and have explored many different art forms over the years. I love learning new techniques, experimenting with materials, and seeing where a creative idea might lead. I’m rarely content sticking to just one craft

My creative business officially began in 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic, when I taught myself how to crochet as a way to pass the time. What started as a new hobby quickly became both a passion and an escape. Creating gave me something positive to focus on, and before long, I began selling my crochet creations locally.

Since then, my creativity has continued to grow. I’ve expanded beyond crochet into original artwork, sparkling rhinestone designs, DIY kits, patterns, and whatever new art form inspires me next.

HandmadeByMeganR is a reflection of my love for creating, experimenting, and bringing ideas to life. I never wanted my shop to be confined to a single craft or style. Some ideas become soft crocheted creations, while others become detailed artwork, carefully assembled kits, or projects designed to help someone else discover their own creativity.

No matter what I’m making, I care deeply about the little details. Every design begins as an idea of my own and is thoughtfully developed, created, or prepared by me.

Meet my Creative Assistants

Koda


Koda is a one-year-old troublemaker with endless kitten energy and a talent for getting into everything he shouldn’t. He’s also a total momma’s boy who loves attention and insists on being involved in every creative project.

Bella


Bella is Koda’s one-year-old partner in crime, although she prefers to play the “good girl.” Sweet but independent, she’ll quietly wait until no one is looking before making off with a pen or irresistible piece of plastic.

I share my creative space with my two cats, who are always eager to “help." Usually by inspecting my materials, supervising my work, or making themselves comfortable in the middle of whatever I’m doing.

They may not be the most productive studio assistants, but they make the creative process much more entertaining and are very much part of life behind HandmadeByMeganR.

A Passion that Keeps Growing

My favorite part of creating is watching a simple idea turn into something real. I’m constantly learning, trying new things, and allowing my work to evolve. HandmadeByMeganR has grown alongside me, and I’m excited to continue sharing that journey with you.
